Creatively supporting EAL children

Earlier this academic year, Artis hosted a free online CPD for primary school teachers, showcasing creative approaches to supporting multilingual learners in the classroom. We offered ideas for arts-based activities that you can integrate into your teaching toolkit to enhance communication and oracy skills within children using English as an additional language.

The performing arts can be a wonderful way to communicate when words are not accessible, empowering children to speak through movement, music and drama. Arts can bring people of all nationalities and languages together, fostering good relationships and improving learning outcomes!

Following our creative CPD, we’re thrilled to present a resource to help you support EAL learners in your classroom.
